নমস্তে নরসিংহায় প্রহ্লাদাহ্লাদদায়িনে ।
হিরণ্যকশিপোর্বক্ষঃশিলাটঙ্ক-নখালয়ে ॥ ৫২ ॥
namas te nara-siṁhāya
prahlādāhlāda-dāyine
hiraṇyakaśipor vakṣaḥ-
śilā-ṭaṅka-nakhālaye

Synonyms

namaḥI offer my respectful obeisances; teunto You; nara-siṁhāyaLord Nṛsiṁhadeva; prahlādato Mahārāja Prahlāda; āhlādaof pleasure; dāyinegiver; hiraṇyakaśipoḥof Hiraṇyakaśipu; vakṣaḥchest; śilālike stone; ṭaṅkalike the chisel; nakha-ālayewhose fingernails.

Translation

“ ‘I offer my respectful obeisances unto You, Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva. You are the giver of pleasure to Mahārāja Prahlāda, and Your nails cut the chest of Hiraṇyakaśipu like a chisel cutting stone.
