কৃষ্ণবর্ণং ত্বিষাঽকৃষ্ণং সাঙ্গোপাঙ্গাস্ত্রপার্ষদম্ ।
যজ্ঞৈঃ সংকীর্তনপ্রায়ৈর্যজন্তি হি সুমেধসঃ ॥ ১০০ ॥
kṛṣṇa-varṇaṁ tviṣākṛṣṇaṁ
sāṅgopāṅgāstra-pārṣadam
yajñaiḥ saṅkīrtana-prāyair
yajanti hi su-medhasaḥ

Synonyms

kṛṣṇa-varṇamrepeating the syllables kṛṣ-ṇa; tviṣāwith a luster; akṛṣṇamnot black (golden); sa-aṅgaalong with associates; upāṅgaservitors; astraweapons; pārṣadamconfidential companions; yajñaiḥby sacrifice; saṅkīrtana-prāyaiḥconsisting chiefly of congregational chanting; yajantithey worship; hicertainly; su-medhasaḥintelligent persons.

Translation

“ ‘In the Age of Kali, intelligent persons perform congregational chanting to worship the incarnation of Godhead who constantly sings the name of Kṛṣṇa. Although His complexion is not blackish, He is Kṛṣṇa Himself. He is accompanied by His associates, servants, weapons and confidential companions.’ ”
