Therefore Kṛṣṇa's another name is Hari. Hari means "taking away," hara, harati dipati[?] Therefore He is called Hari.

Tasmād sarvātmanā bhārata bhagavān īśvaro hariḥ, smartavya. instruction of Śukadeva Gosvāmī to Parīkṣit Mahārāja, that tasmād bhārata sarvātmā bhagavān īśvaro hariḥ Hari, another name of Bhagavān. He is Hari. So this Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement is a process = always remembering Hari. Bhagavān īśvaro hariḥ smartavyaś kīrtitavyaś ca. These are the instruction.
